 Singapore International School Confluence 

On 6th of Sept, our team consisting of 7 students from Class IX to XII under the guidance of our escort teacher Mr. Hamish Donald Phillips Jyrwa, participated in the prestigious Confluence hosted by Singapore International School, Mumbai. Various schools from all over the country were invited to the program to take part in a series of several competitions. The Confluence included 18 schools. The events that followed were the debate, quiz and the debate speech writing competition.

In the debate competition, our school was represented by Ms. Gilgal Ikror Horam (Class XII), Mr. Khroti Wattson Therie (Class XII) and Ms. Neola Sooting (Class IX) who took the roles in turncoat, extempore and bridge respectively. The quiz team included Mr. Divyam Jain (Class X), Mr. Daniel Ao (Class XI) and Mr. Agniva Maiti (Class X).

Ms. Dziesekhrie Metha (Class IX) represented the school in the debate speech writing competition. The first position in the debate competition was taken by the host school, Singapore International School and the 2nd place was attained by Mayo College Girls School. The winner of the debate speech writing competition was taken by B.K Birla School from Nainital.

Ms. Gilgal Ikror Horam from Hollotoli School was awarded the ‘Best Speaker’ in the turncoat and Mr. Divyam Jain was awarded the ‘Most Promising Quizzard’. This exposure gave us the opportunity to interact with students from different schools. We were honoured to be participants of this Confluence and we would like to express our gratitude towards the school for giving us the opportunity to be a part of such wonderful learning experience.
