School Events (2018-19) ►
 Literary Week

Hollotoli School celebrated Literary Week from the 4th to the 8th of June, 2018 to infuse the students with appreciation, understanding and love of the English language. Various activities were conducted by the English department during the week to hone written and spoken expressions and foster reading habits in the students. It gave them another platform to enhance their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English.

Students from classes 6 to 8 participated in spell bee, elocution and creative writing competitions; while classes 9 and 10 participated in declamation and creative writing competitions; and the students of classes 11 and 12 participated in creative writing competition.

The most anticipated event—the debate competition—was open for classes 9 to 12 and was held on the last day of the eventful week. The topic of the debate was, ‘With the advancements made in technology, the role of the teacher is becoming obsolete.’

In sync with the Literary Week, a week-long book fair was also held in the school premises organised by Scholastic, where a wide range of books were displayed. The book fair saw an overwhelming response from students and parents alike. The Scholastic group had organised a classroom challenge and a lucky draw for the students. Class VII-B won the classroom challenge for purchasing the most number of books, and Edward Rodrigues of class I-A won the lucky draw. Each winner was given a book hamper by Scholastic.

All-in-all, the Literary Week created a lot of enthusiasm in the students and they participated in all the events with much gusto, bringing the students closer to the magic of language and literature.
